Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the energy industry, located in Houston, Texas. The Sr. Accountant will be tasked with a variety of accounting responsibilities, ensuring the company's financial transactions and records are accurate, efficient, and in compliance with regulatory and GAAP standards.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct general accounting tasks, such as creating journal entries and reconciling accounts.

• Draft and implement accounting policies, ensuring adherence to internal controls.

• Handle the preparation of audit schedules for external audits.

• Conduct technical accounting research and prepare corresponding memos.

• Actively participate in cross-functional project teams to design, develop, and implement automated systems or new requirements.

• Perform variance and metrics analyses and prepare related financial statement disclosures.

• Respond promptly to both internal and external requests for information.

• Ensure commitment to compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

• Undertake other assigned duties as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Strong knowledge of General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Proficiency in using Excel and Excel Formulas

• Prior experience with Month End Close procedures

• Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is highly desirable

• Knowledge of ASC 815 and ASC 606 accounting standards is a plus
