Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Houston, Texas

Description We are looking for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role involves crucial tasks such as monthly journal entries, month-end journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis, and all-source analysis. The opportunity is for an individual who can manage various aspects of accounting within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly journal entries and month-end journal entries as part of the accounting cycle

• Conduct reconciliations of various accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records

• Carry out account analysis to identify and rectify any discrepancies

• Perform all-source analysis to generate comprehensive financial reports

• Collaborate with other team members to streamline accounting processes and procedures

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all accounting tasks

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports

• Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting principles and standards

• Collaborate with external auditors when necessary during audits. Requirements • Must hold a senior position in the accounting field with at least 5 years of experience

• Proficiency in handling Monthly Journal Entries

• Expertise in managing Month-end Journal Entries is required

• Should possess strong skills in Reconciliations

• Experience in Account Analysis is a must

• Proficiency in All-Source Analysis is highly desirable

• Must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential

• The ability to work with advanced accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; a Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses

• High level of integrity, dependability, and trustworthiness with a strong sense of business and financial acumen.
