Exciting opportunity to join a growing Financial Services and Leasing company in Downtown Houston. Looking for a Sr. Accountant that will work closely with the Controller on Full Cycle Accounting including month end, general ledger management, journal entries, accounts payable and receivable, variance analysis, and asset management.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Manage the general ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up-to-date.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are processed efficiently.

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring they adhere to company policies and accounting principles.

• Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.

• Collaborate with auditors during annual audits, providing necessary information and clarification.

• Oversee asset management, keeping track of all company assets and their conditions.

• Use Microsoft Excel and Dynamics GP for various accounting tasks.

• Perform month-end close procedures, ensuring all accounting data is accurate.

• Reconcile bank statements with the company's ledger.

• Perform account and balance sheet reconciliation, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.

Requirements

Senior Accountant Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with full cycle accounting or public accounting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA Preferred

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding of General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Dynamics GP

• Ability to Analyze Variance in financial data

• Adept at problem-solving and critical thinking

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
