Specialist, SCADA Systems (Measurement) - 000EZ2 Description Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. The partnership’s assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity. The SCADA Systems Specialist assists in providing critical SCADA System programming and support duties for the support of Gas Measurement data within the Enterprise SCADA department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Software development, testing, administration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting support of: + A Gas Measurement/SCADA polling system that polls remote devices for both SCADA and Gas Measurement data. + A Gas Measurement Processing System (MPS) that receives and processes gas measurement data from various SCADA and polling systems and maintains various interfaces with SCADA systems and other entities both internal and external to the company. + A web-based interface utilized by 3rd party producers to view measurement/production data associated with assets for which Enterprise is contracted to operate. + A web-based interface that allows corporate users to view measurement data processed by MPS. + An in-house developed SCADA system along with associated services, tools, utilities, and reports including third-party software integrated into the system. + Software written to enhance or otherwise support third party SCADA systems including in-house developed utilities, tools, services and layered applications and scripts. + Various tools, utilities and web-based and reporting services utilized primarily within the SCADA and Pipeline Control departments. Following best practices and group procedures and methodologies in association with development, testing, maintenance, and documentation of all software development activities. + Microsoft SQL Server database administration, programming, and scripting. + Generating user documents and training documents associated with supported software and performing training as required. + Generation and maintenance of procedures, how-to’s, trouble-shooting tips, and help files associated with all supported software. + Interface with third-party vendors in support of all hardware and software the SCADA Applications group is or may be responsible for. + Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation. + Be able to travel up to 10% Qualifications The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: + High school diploma or GED is required. + Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science or at least 3 years of programming experience is preferred. + 1 – 3 years of programming experience with .Net and C# required. + 1-3 years programming in one or more of the following is preferred: Windows Forms (Winforms); Windows Services; Microsoft SQL Server; Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF/XAML); Windows Communications Foundation (WCF), as well as experience with Microsoft SQL Server database design and administration. + Experience working in a SCADA environment is preferred. + Experience working with Bristol, TotalFlow, ROC, DNP3 field devices is desirable. + Ability to work in a small team environment, sometimes under stress. + Ability to communicate well and quickly trouble-shoot problems. + Knowledge of fundamentals of networking is desirable. + Experience in administration and configuration of Windows-based PCs and servers is desirable. + Ability to interact and communicate professionally with customers, co-workers, and management, both verbally and in writing. + Ability to juggle competing priorities, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to work effectively in a team environment and share information, ideas, and resources with other individuals, teams, internal customers, and business stakeholders. + While at times training will be provided, candidates must be willing to spend time learning new concepts and developing their skills.
