Siemens Energy is seeking an ambitious Sales Manager, Ferries, North America to contribute to the company's continued growth while upholding Siemens Energy’s core values.
As the Sales Manager, Ferries, North America you will have the exciting opportunity to develop and implement critical initiatives to enhance Siemens Energy’s position in the passenger ferry market across the US and Canada. The ideal candidate will possess a robust North American maritime industry network, exceptional strategic skills, and the ability to influence key stakeholders. This remote position reports directly to the Head of Marine Sales in North America and requires sufficient travel (approximately 50%) to satisfy the role's responsibilities.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Develop and implement initiatives to boost Siemens Energy's presence in the North American passenger ferry market, focusing on energy solutions, operational optimization, hybrid and electric propulsion, and automation and controls.
Craft comprehensive marketing and branding strategies to showcase Siemens Energy's unique capabilities, analyzing market trends, competitor actions, and customer needs for growth and differentiation.
Engage actively in key industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to foster strong relationships and represent Siemens Energy effectively.
Participate in industry associations and groups to influence standards and promote Siemens Energy's technological advancements, networking with industry leaders to elevate visibility and thought leadership.
Implement sales strategies to meet annual targets, collaborating internally to explore new business opportunities and presenting tailored solutions to potential clients, emphasizing the advantages of Siemens Energy products.
Lead in contract negotiations, manage technical project aspects, and prepare accurate quotations, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or Marine Transportation.
Minimum of 20 years of sales experience in the US or Canadian maritime industry, with a strong track record in maritime sales and marketing, particularly in the passenger ferry segment.
Deep industry network and excellent skills in communication, negotiation, and presentation; adept at complex analysis and crafting compelling value propositions.
Knowledgeable in passenger vessel funding, grant frameworks, and maritime industry trends in the US; strategic and impactful decision-making capabilities.
Proactive, self-motivated, and responsible, with exceptional abilities in influencing, persuading, and promoting ideas; collaborative and skilled in building relationships.
Committed to company policies, with a clear, assertive communication style and a focus on completing plans with determination and precision.

This remote role may be based in various locations across the United States. Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. For positions based in the United States, the base salary range is $108,900 - $253,500 and the annual incentive target is 15% of base salary.
Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
