Job Summary

Job Summary:

Levy Restaurants, a subsidiary of Compass Group is currently seeking a Restaurants & Cafe (FOH) Manager to oversee the George R. Brown Convention Center events.

Responsibilities:

• Support VP/GM by ensuring daily operations of Levy Restaurants Food and Beverage

• Plan and coordinate events, including conferences, expos, exhibits, corporate events, galas, and social gatherings.

• Develop event timelines and schedules to ensure smooth execution.

• Manage all staff, including, bartenders, cashiers, subcontractors, and other personnel.

• Provide guidance to the team by fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

• Provide support in conducting regular BEO meetings with departments to communicate goals, expectations, and ensure alignment with company policies.

• Liaising with catering services, and outside vendors, supervising their requirements and logistics based on event.

Qualifications:

• Experience in event based management, hospitality, front of house, or similar preferred.

• Minimum of Associate's Degree preferred.

• Two to four years restaurants, concession and beverage management experience is required

• Comprehensive food and wine knowledge. Applicant should be well versed on food and wine pairings

• Requires operations management experience with purchasing knowledge

• Excellent communication and computer skills are needed, including POS.

• Knowledge of safety measures and risk management strategies.

• ServSafe Certified preferred
