Raleigh, NC or Durham, NC (RTP office) or Houston TX or Florham Park, NJ (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Pay range: $150,000 - $180,000 / Annual bonus

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Global Business Services - In-house Management Consulting team in any of the locations mentioned.

We are looking for a Project Manager like you to join our team at BASF, where you will use your relevant industry experience to advise internal business and functional units. In your role, you will deliver impactful recommendations and sustainable solutions to BASF's senior management team in the fields of Innovation & Growth, Marketing & Sales, Organizational Excellence, Post-Merger Integration/Carve Out, Digitalization and Change Management. Alongside classic consultancy services, our in-house consulting team provides coaching for marketing and sales functions, offers various training, and takes over procurement processes. Although not required, international work experience is a plus.

As a Project Manager - Management Consulting, you create chemistry by...

Successfully engaging the organization, you will lead consulting teams consisting of 1-5 consultants in regional and global projects, and will drive workstreams with minimal supervision, including, but not limited to:

  • Defining and managing “transformational initiatives”

  • Assessing and implementing primary growth initiatives

  • Deriving go-to-market strategies

  • Developing business models and calculating business cases

  • Leading integration efforts for acquisitions and supporting divestments

  • Exhibiting digitization capabilities within projects and developing sustainable digital solutions

If you have...

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA a plus

  • 2-3 years of management consulting experience at a top tier consulting firm / in-house consulting team or a BASF strategic role

  • Experience managing strategic projects with executive level stakeholders

  • Excellent communication skills and experience communicating to leadership teams, as well as the ability to influence, solve problems and lead teams

  • Analytic experience deriving insights using data from multiple sources to build a source of truth

  • Experience in at least one of the following topics:

  • State-of-the-art pricing

  • Marketing and sales concepts and strategies

  • Optimizing and redefining organizational structures and processes

  • Change management

  • Strategy and business model implementation

  • Divestiture and acquisitions

  • Digital and sustainable business models

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of time depending on business needs

Pay transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive pay range for this role is $150,000 - $180,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
