Project Manager-Construction

KBR is looking for a PROJECT MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION
This role sits within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include proposal support, front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management.
The successful candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in the following:
Proposal Support
Constructability & Design Reviews
Planning & Scheduling
Logistics & Infrastructure
Path of Construction & Sequencing
Layout and Optimization
Modules Feasibility
Contracting Strategies
Permits Planning
Previous FEED experience in a similar role is essential. Good communication skills and the ability to communicate with Clients and Engineering Leads are required. The position may require frequent visits to site. If the project develops into a EPCm opportunity, the opportunity to go to site during the construction execution phase may be required.
This position is located at KBR offices in downtown Houston.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing Inputs to the Project Execution Strategy
Development of the construction execution plan
Providing input in the development of the project schedule
Preparing and developing the project modularization strategy
Conduct site visits as and when required
Developing the project path of construction in support of AWP
Develop organization charts and staffing plans for the execute phase
Developing temporary construction facility requirements
Technical reviews of contractor bid submissions
Development of site plans for execution phases of the project
Prepare and conduct the project constructability workshop(s)
Participate in project risk reviews
Provide construction input to the various engineering disciplines
Develop the project completions strategy.
REQUIREMENTS
Local Hire, no per diem or relocation offered
Experience working in a similar role supporting the front-end planning and design
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering or similar is preferred
15+ years in EPC, EPCm or industrial construction
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to work in a team environment
Comfortable working in a home office environment communicating with engineering leads and Client personnel and Sr. Management
