This position is Hybrid and will require the employee to work out of one of our site offices as needed.

Job Summary

KBR is seeking an enthusiastic Lead Project Control Analyst with excellent analytical skills to grow with us. In this role, you will report to the Manager of Cost Control, under the Program Planning and Control team. You will be primarily responsible for Program Planning and Control analysis for various contract types and sizes, interacting with all levels of Project Management and colleagues in other functional areas/departments.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Forecast, control, and report project costs, including developing project variances, trending, expenditure analysis, and completion reports.

  • Review incurred project costs by category, calculate future costs considering factors like labor productivity and material price increases, and perform risk analysis.

  • Develop and control project baselines and budgets, and monitor schedules/milestones to facilitate estimates and manage scope changes.

  • Prepare and deliver customer report deliverables according to contract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with FAR, CAS, and government accounting standards.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to establish decision options, balance multiple priorities, and develop short- and long-term objectives.

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex problems independently, using judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices.

  • Analyze and modify cost estimates, re-baseline programs as needed, and assist with price/cost estimates using complex pricing concepts.

  • Prepare forecasts using program resource estimates with appropriately applied rates and factors, and develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) with maintenance and charge number control.

  • Provide mentoring and training, recognizing the need for skill development within the team.

  • Utilize experience, interpersonal skills, and broad project control knowledge to ensure task completion aligns with policies, procedures, and business strategy.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and 10+ years in Project Controls or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of complex program management concepts (cost analysis, budgets, estimate to complete, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, charts, graphs, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with standard government agency reporting requirements (DOD).

  • Cost Point, Cobra, Cognos, OnBase, Deltek, and WorkDay experience.

  • Advanced skills with reporting through Microsoft Power BI

  • Must be capable of working independently under pressure with minimal supervision.

  • Familiar with often-changing deadlines, inquiries, and related pressures and able to handle multiple tasks.

  • Demonstrated strong work ethics, and mathematical/analytical skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
