Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Programmer Analyst in Houston, Texas. This position is within the telecom industry and will involve a flexible hybrid work model. The individual in this role will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Working in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment and utilizing tools such as Amazon EC2

• Downloading and compiling code, managing and running EC2 boxes, and handling REPOS

• Performing unit testing and building test cases with Selenium

• Engaging in client-facing communication and meetings, understanding and responding to client needs

• Collaborating with offshore developers as well as the local team based in Houston

• Bringing innovative ideas to improve functionality and meet client requirements

• Understanding and engaging in the business analyst role by asking questions, providing solutions, and interacting with developers

• Contributing to the transformation into a DevOps environment and participating in weekly releases and continuous deployments. Requirements • Applicant must possess significant proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Experience with Amazon EC2 is essential

• Profound knowledge of programming languages is a must

• Demonstrable experience as a Programmer Analyst or similar role

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically

• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms

• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot complex software issues

• Solid understanding of software development principles and best practices
