Aerotek PLC Technician/Testing in Houston, Texas

Job Title: PLC Technician/Testing

Job Description

Candidate will be doing electrical testing on finished control panels. Will be working in the test bay area where they will be using testing equipment to test the unit and ensure proper operation. They will be using wiring diagrams and electrical schematics daily to ensure proper placement of components. They will be testing the PLC and the full controls of the panels using the HMI.

1st shift 7am-3:30pm with very little OT.

Responsibilities: - Electrical testing - Execute tests for rapid prototyping and concept generation - Recommend and implement solutions within designated area of responsibility - Technical troubleshooting of process, equipment, and product - Understand and apply processes in multiple work areas and train others on specific skills - Utilize resources to learn the business - Demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer systems - Demonstrate approachability and openness - Establish credibility - Exhibit excellent interpersonal listening and communication capabilities - Maintain and assign test equipment to projects for efficient use of lab resources as well as lab maintenance - Schedule and track test projects to meet customer expectations - Set up/program and run complex equipment and machine tools used in production - Review and complete necessary data capture - Run and maintain test equipment per procedure - May orient, train, and assign/review the work of other team members

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Houston, Texas.

Work Environment

They will have their own testing area and will be the ONLY person in this role. Air conditioned shop.
