Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Paralegal in Houston, Texas. This role is in the complex civil litigation and personal injury industry where you will be supporting a busy litigation department. In this position, you will be involved in all aspects of litigation, from the onset of a case to the preparation for trial.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to attorneys in preparing for mediation, depositions, and trials

• Use case management software, CompuLaw, and Aderant to manage and organize case files

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis

• Handle drafting and filing of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests

• Administer client communication and manage relationships with court personnel and opposing counsel

• Utilize Adobe Acrobat and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS) for claim administration

• Perform briefing and calendar management tasks

• Offer administrative support to attorneys as needed, including billing functions. Requirements • Proficiency in Aderant software

• Experience with Adobe Acrobat

• Familiarity with Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)

• Ability to use Case Management Software effectively

• Experience with CompuLaw software

• Knowledge of Billing Functions within a legal setting

• Ability to prepare and provide legal Briefing

• Strong Calendar Management skills

• Experience in Claim Administration

• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
