EquipmentShare is searching for an Operations Manager to support our Industrial Supplies teams as they continue to grow.

EquipmentShare is seeking an Operations Manager to be responsible for overseeing the whole operation of Industrial Supplies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary focal point for management and operations for assigned scope

  • Support organization in general procurement in creating and formulating the procurement strategy by providing data about suppliers

  • Build relationships with suppliers and identify new vendors.

  • Support procurement activities

  • Negotiate and manage contract terms and conditions and communicate with all stakeholders

  • Lead the review of quotes and proposals for accuracy, compliance and price/cost reasonableness

  • Lead negotiation of cost and other terms and conditions

  • Identify supplier risks and propose mitigation actions

  • Bring innovative solutions to maximize value proposition for products and bid opportunities

  • Provide leadership and coaching to less experienced team members

  • Set realistic and achievable objectives & goals for the team based on procurement strategy, Supply Chain strategy, and suggested operational improvements

  • Measure key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Support compliance and related processes through team collaboration and communication with internal customers

  • Resolve general procurement process blockages and recommend solutions to operational and contractual problems

  • Develop and set performance metrics and goals

  • Develop and maintain training in procurement processes

  • Monitor and manage actions to facilitate timely payment to the supplier minimizing disruption of processes

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of customer projects and expectations

  • Ability to organize, forecast, establish, implement, and execute goals

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and leadership

  • Experience leading team

  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner across multiple levels (both verbal and written)

  • Team-oriented mindset and willingness to work in a multi-functional, multicultural, fast-moving and complex/technical environment

  • Flexible attitude and strong initiative

  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
