Capgemini Mechanical Integrity & Reliability Industry Consultant - Technology and Business Transformation in Houston, Texas

Job Summary:
The Industry Consultant (IC) is a recognized expert within their domain or industry segment. ICs are trusted advisors for executive level leadership at clients (including C-suite), who help shape vision and strategy for business and digital transformation. Leveraging their deep industry experience, they identify client value opportunities and work with Capgemini teams to create or tailor our solution offerings for the client. They are instrumental in the Go-To-Market process, including quantifying the value proposition in a defensible and relatable framework and presenting proposals and approaches directly to clients. ICs also engage during the delivery stage, serving as a conduit between the client (business) and the technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Sustainability and Renewable Energy:
Sustainability Strategy: Advise on integrating sustainability with business goals, focusing on renewable energy adoption, carbon footprint reduction, and sustainability reporting compliance.
Renewable Energy Advisory: Provide expertise on solar, wind, and other renewable technologies to support energy transition projects, with a focus on feasibility, environmental impact, and investment return.
Quantitative Environmental Assessment: Conduct in-depth quantitative analyses to evaluate the environmental impact of client operations, guiding data-driven decisions for reducing ecological footprints and optimizing sustainable practices.
Regulatory and Reporting Guidance: Offer insights into sustainability regulations and standards, aiding in compliance and the development of sustainability reports to meet stakeholder expectations.
Sustainable Value Engagement: Work with clients to embed environmental considerations in products, processes, and business models, engaging stakeholders in sustainability efforts for innovation and competitive advantage.
Project Execution:
Devote 50-60% of time to project delivery for clients
Provide “voice of the customer” perspective for project team members, often serving as a proxy Product Owner/Manager
Go-to-Market Strategy:
Work closely with the Business Unit leadership to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within the industry.
Contribute to the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for key service offerings.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients (including C-suite executives), offering insights and recommendations based on industry knowledge and experience in key areas (e.g., meter, switchgear, communications, ADMS platform, CAD software, analytics tools, rugged mobile devices, etc.)
Continuous Learning and Market Eminence:
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to remain a subject matter expert.
Develop “points of view” on relevant topics and partner with marketing to publish market-facing content.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5-10 years of Mechanical Integrity and Reliability Engineering or related areas.
Proven track record of successful project support and delivery in technology and business transformation
Strong understanding of industry trends, challenges, and opportunities
Digital enablement experience in areas of manufacturing operations, supply chain, corporate functions, and/or commercial functions
Deep understanding of leading digital technologies and ability to design a tailored solution to meet clients’ needs
Deep understanding of IT/OT/engineering/HW products and heavily services used in industry
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, with a proven record of successful stakeholder engagement
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field; MBA or other advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
