UnitedHealth Group Market Operations Consultant - Remote in Houston, TX in Houston, Texas

If you are located in Houston, TX, you will have the flexibility to work remotely* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies to manage medical costs and drive performance of the enterprise's key priorities for the employed, contracted, and affiliated provider population

  • Contribute to the design and implementation of programs that build/nurture positive relationships between the health plan, providers, and practice managers

  • Help implement training and development of internal and external providers and clinic staff through education and training programs

  • Act as the liaison between primary care and specialty providers to improve communication and outcomes between the parties

  • Assist in conducting operational meetings with specialty provider offices and increase the adoption of enterprise member management portals

  • Identify gaps in specialty network composition and services to assist network contracting and development teams

  • Perform project management and operational analysis for initiatives to ensure timely deliverables, proactive monitoring of key metrics, and progress made toward achieving goals

  • Review work performed by others and provide recommendations for improvement

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 5+ years of health care/managed care experience

  • 3+ years of provider relations and/or provider network experience

  • 1+ years of experience with Medicare and Medicaid regulations

  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and Tableau Reader
