Schlumberger Manufacturing Production Supervisor in Houston, Texas

Job Summary:

This position monitors, maintains, and controls direct functions within the manufacturing shop, as well as manages and coordinates process improvement projects.

Relationships: Supervision: Value Stream Manager

Essential Responsibilities and Duties: -

  • Coaches employees on administrative or technical processes and procedures.

  • Ensures the safety of employees.

  • Ensures that workers have the necessary equipment and prints to perform their duties.

  • Resolves production issues and escalates those that require management attention.

  • Educates employees on quality standards and procedures.

  • Ensures manufacturing work instructions and procedures are up to date.

  • Conducts performance reviews and formal performance/career development discussions with direct reports.

  • Conducts New Employee/Contractor Manufacturing Induction.

  • Conducts Weekly Toolbox Meetings.

  • Maintains Competency Matrix for Manufacturing employees.

  • Maintains time-tracking system for employees.

  • Maintains adequate staffing needs.

  • Initiates Progressive Disciplinary.

  • Initiates Root Cause Analysis for all scrap events.

  • Creates training packets for all employees and contractors.

  • Educates employees on Quality and HSE standards and procedures.

  • Identifies and resolve Quality and HSE issues and escalate accordingly.

  • Monitors Production Flow

Previous Experiences and Competencies:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Previous manufacturing experience with previous manufacturing leadership experience preferred.
