NuScale Power Manager, Planning & Financial Modeling in Houston, Texas

POSITION SUMMARY: The position will report to the Senior Director of FP&A and will be a key member of the NuScale finance team by providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning initiatives, supporting all aspects of the company’s long-term planning activities, business plan preparation, project evaluation, financing, capital raising activities and M&A processes. Interface with internal and external stakeholders, provide expertise in financial modeling and analysis of customer projects, and be a valuable contributor to the company’s financing strategy and execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial models to support NuScale forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning activities, including business plan, strategic investments initiative, investment opportunities and business cases.

  • Coordinate the preparation of the Long-Term Business Plan. Prepare assumptions and perform financial analysis to evaluate project economics and structural sensitivities.

  • Assist in the formulation of long-term business objectives, goals and action plans.

  • Conduct Sensitivity analysis and scenarios planning to assess the economic and financial impact.

  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders.

  • Evaluate Capital Expenditures planning activities, Financing and Capital Raising Strategies.

  • Analyze financial performance and key business metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Coordinate and Monitor Business Risk Management process.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data, assumptions, and inputs for financial analysis and reporting.

  • Support the Senior Director of Finance in communications with internal stakeholders and external providers of equity and debt capital in support of existing and potential customer projects.

  • Support M&A activities by conducting financial due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation analysis.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact the company's financial performance.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the finance team.

  • Develop and implement Finance Planning processes as necessary.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

  • Education: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting is required. MBA with emphasis in Finance is strongly preferred. Professional designation such as CFA charter holder, CAIA, or other preferred.

  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience as a planning modeling financial analyst, preferably in energy or utility field, investment banking or similar role performing detailed Excel-based cash flow financial modeling and analyses is required. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (VBA preferred), Word, and PowerPoint. Must be able to demonstrate excellent quantitative skills

  • Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

The target pay range for this position is $130,927 - $158,016 annually. The full pay range is $117,383 - $183,599.
