  • Support all product and process quality aspects of Construction Services and TurboFab Business and Operations that generate $100M - $250M revenue annually.

  • Group size 7 – 15 (1 – 4 salaried, 6 – 11 hourly) with up to additional 15 material resource support headcount equivalent.

  • Manage group capacity in alignment with facility production levels to promote timely inspection and release of materials feeding into and through fabrication and packaging operations.

  • Recruit, develop, and engage a capable, diverse team of hourly and salaried employees.

  • Coach, mentor, and manage performance of employees in cooperation with Human Resources (HR) and CSTF organization leadership.

  • Establish vision and strategy for Construction Services and TurboFab (CSTF) Quality, as well as driving action through supporting Strategic Initiatives.

  • Represent and promote Quality interests with CSTF Business and Operations Directors and staff groups.

  • Internal interfaces include Enterprise Process Excellence, Business Development, Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, TurboFab Operations, etc.

  • External interfaces include customers, customer inspector representatives, suppliers (agency workers, engineered item, commodity, NDE services), certifying body representatives, etc.

  • Support the CSTF Business and Operations organizations to maintain process flow documentation in keeping with current state and continual evolution of change.

  • Conduct internal audits for existing and additional certifications such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.

  • Conduct periodic management review within the organization to ensure oversight of key business metrics and annual quality objectives and strategic initiatives.

  • Prepare organization and host external auditors for recertification and periodic audits related to standards such as ISO, IEC, CSA, Canadian Welding Board (CWB).

  • Apply Lean methods to quality processes to reduce waste while ensuring continual improvement in process and product quality.

  • Support CSTF organization to ensure effective and timely application of Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) in response to customer and internal significant impact quality defects.

  • Ensure consistency of process, where feasible, with the broader Solar Turbines organization for reporting of RCCA to external parties, as well as for presentation of supporting quality documentation that confirms compliance with customer product and project specifications and scope requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s of Science Degree minimum.

  • Language: English fluency required, Spanish fluency desired.

  • Experience: 10 to 15 years of experience working for or closely with engineering and/or production operations. Prior customer-facing experiences in Business Development (Sales) or Business Management (Project Management) preferred.

This position will provide full relocation benefits if needed.

Summary Pay Range:

$135,542.00 - $203,314.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
