We are currently looking for a Manager Regulatory Compliance for our Houston, TX office.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

JOB SUMMARY:

Job Purpose & Responsibilities

  • Key contributor in the development and implementation of policies and procedures needed to facilitate Boardwalk's commitment to integrity and compliance.

    Overview of responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring risks to ensure continuous improvement and assist in the development of controls, procedures, and/or policies needed to reduce risk and comply with applicable laws rules and/or regulations.

  • Responsible for ensuring that FERC Informational Postings for Boardwalk’s pipelines are managed in a manner that complies with all applicable regulations and corporate procedures.

  • Responsible for federal/state regulatory compliance for interstate, intrastate, Hinshaw, and NGL/other product pipelines.

  • Develop and maintain company regulatory compliance program(s), as needed, to provide guidance and to assist with employees’ understanding and compliance with applicable statutes and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor and participate in ongoing industry initiatives concerning gas-electric coordination, such as NAESB, FERC/NERC, and NARUC (GEAR). Provide information to senior management from which Boardwalk policies and decisions can be made.

  • Work with Boardwalk departments, including the information technology group, to implement technical solutions for and within GasQuest (Boardwalk’s gas management system) that meet business objectives and regulatory requirements, including NAESB compliance.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Marketing Affiliate rules and related Standards of Conduct.

  • Keep informed of and communicate applicable Federal and State regulatory agency regulations and statutes with internal departments and ensure compliance with those policies.

  • Monitor other companies’ FERC compliance filings and audits and provide updates/guidance to management.

  • Work with the legal and regulatory department staff and business leaders to manage, develop, and provide training which educates others on the changing regulatory environment and reinforce compliance initiatives.

  • Provide compliance leadership to Boardwalk personnel and assist in identifying issues that require direct legal guidance from corporate attorneys and or the General Counsel.

  • Provide leadership or support to special projects as directed by senior management

    REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong analytical skills coupled with logical thought processes, ability to define and discern key aspects of complex regulatory problems and to develop workable solutions

  • Excellent ability to speak and write in a clear and concise manner

  • Good organizational skills, ability to successfully perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Ability to succeed with minimal direct supervision. May be required to work non-traditional hours

  • Must be flexible, dependable, and extremely detail oriented

  • Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Working knowledge of Teams and other MS Office applications

    PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of experience in a Compliance, Regulatory, and/or Tariffs environment

    REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field
