System One Maintenance Technician in Houston, Texas

System One is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for an industry-leading client in the Houston, TX area.

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment issues, performing preventative maintenance activities, maintaining the technical library and spare parts inventory, calibrating and adjusting machine tools and equipment, modifying machines for specialized functions, and performing minor building maintenance functions.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair equipment, referring to manuals, schematics, blueprints, and other relevant documentation.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic, making all necessary corrections and returning the equipment to optimum condition in a cost-effective and timely manner.

  • Calibrate and adjust machine tools and equipment.

  • Modify machines and buildings for specialized functions.

  • Perform minor building maintenance functions, including plumbing and electrical.

    Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • 4+yrs of hands-on maintenance experience.

  • Must know how to use torque wrench, basic tools, impact tools, measuring tools, and electrical diagnostic equipment, such as multi-meters.

  • Must be willing to obtain additional training for mobile equipment, confined space, high voltage, lock out/tag out.

  • Must be able to pass a mobile equipment test.

  • Knowledge of GD&T is preferred.

  • Ability to read basic blueprints, hydraulic diagrams, and electrical diagrams is preferred.

  • Previous experience working with furnaces and induction equipment is preferred.

  • Previous HVAC experience is preferred.

  • Ability to use cutting torches and basic welding is preferred.
