Lead Control Systems Engineer – Offshore

KBR is looking for a Lead Control Systems Engineer – Offshore that will be responsible for the technical and operation leadership of the process control system scope including DCS, Telecommunications, Instrumentation, and Process Analyzer for a an Off-Shore engineering project.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Company’s safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel
Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies and procedures
Develop and maintain sustaining engineering plans
Drive multiple projects in various stages of project execution, from development to execution, with an eye for managing cost, scope, schedule, and internal reporting requirements
Use strong organizational savvy and relationship building skills to influence both internal and external resources, producing tangible results
Work with internal and external engineering resources to develop the required deliverables for the Engineering Stage Gate Process (FEED, FEL)
Under broad direction, this individual has the responsibility, accountability, and authority to manage the execution of the engineering design in accordance with applicable specifications and standards in order to achieve project objectives
Assures projects meet project objectives (including cost, schedule, and scope) by managing the development, design, and execution of assigned projects in accordance with specifications and standards
Ensures accurate cost budgeting, estimating, forecasting, and reporting of assigned projects
Provides clear, accurate scopes of work and construction packages including documentation
Analyzes and manages risks on projects
Facilitates safety and constructability reviews
Creates requisitions for engineered items and development of spare parts list
Reports on cost (including forecasting) and schedule attainment
Communicates and resolves technical and commercial issues as related to project objectives
Successfully communicates with leadership, engineers, designers, document control, procurement, project controls, and all other departments
Ensures all project documentation is completed
Defines and documents CSE Scope of Work
Prepare vendor competitive analysis
Develops Process Control Narratives
Create I/O lists
Assist with FAT and SAT when needed
Potentially support Commissioning and Start-Up Activities
May require travel to site (25-35%)
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
EDUCATION: 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering preferred)
5+ years of off-shore experience required
5+ years of industrial refining, petrochemical, or heavy industries experience
5+ years of experience in technical control systems leadership
Total Minimum 15 years of experience
Experience developing process control specifications and control system design
Experience leading initiatives and managing suppliers
10+ years of Demonstrated Experience in Process Control Systems: DCS, PLC, SIS, BMS (preferably Emerson DeltaV, Honeywell Experion and TDC3000, Yokogawa, Siemens, Rockwell ControlLogix and PlantPAx)
5+ years of Demonstrated Experience with Network Architectures: DCS, PLC, SIS, BMS
Demonstrated Experience in Instrumentation
Experience with electrical schematic drawings, logic diagrams, and panel schedules
Participation in Factory Acceptance Test for DCS, PLC, and SIS
5+ years of Hands on programming experience in an operational environment
Developed Cause & Effect Diagrams
5+ years of Development of Process Control Narratives
Created I/O Lists (preferably with SPI or AVEVA)
Clear understanding of Off-Shore Standards and Requirements as it relates to process control systems
Knowledge of and exposure to telecoms, cyber security, and process analyzer engineering.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.
Attention to detail and the ability to ensure project documentation is accurate and up to date.
