Description

A company in North Houston is seeking a Contract Human Resources Business Partner to fill in for an employee on leave. The HRBP will act as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues, and formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. As an HRBP, you will be expected to demonstrate a strong grasp of our business needs and develop effective and strategic HR plans to meet those needs. Responsibilities:

  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.

  • Conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary.

  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing our industry.

  • Implement and administer both new and existing HR policies, procedures, and guidelines.

  • Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success, revising as necessary.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR generalist or business partner role, with a focus on employee relations.

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry or with offshore drilling is preferred.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and state and federal employment laws.
