Actalent GIS Technician in Houston, Texas
Job Title: GIS TechnicianJob Description
We are currently sourcing for a GIS Technician to support projects based in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with GIS systems and tools such as ArcGIS and ArcFM. Experience in the midstream industry, specifically supporting pipeline projects, will be highly advantageous.
Responsibilities
Create and edit linear and stationed route events
Research historical pipeline data including materials lists, completion reports, maintenance records, work orders, markups, alignment sheets, and survey data
Read and interpret drawings, ISOs, schematics, and alignment sheets
Essential Skills
3+ years of GIS technician experience
3+ years of experience with ArcGIS and ArcFM
3+ years of experience in pipeline or similar industry
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience supporting the midstream industry
UPMD experience is desirable
Knowledge of civil drafting and engineering
Proficiency in modeling and handling geospatial data
Work Environment
The work environment is an office setting with an 8-hour workday from 6 am to 2:30-3 pm, including half-day Fridays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00
