Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team. The GIS Analyst will be responsible for creating, analyzing, and managing spatial data to support various projects and initiatives. This role involves the use of geographic information systems (GIS) software to analyze patterns, generate reports, and provide insights for decision-making.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, manage, and analyze spatial data from a variety of sources.

  • Perform geospatial analysis and data visualization using GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).

  • Maintain and update GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

  • Prepare detailed maps, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various projects and initiatives.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GIS-related issues.

  • Assist in the design and implementation of GIS applications.

  • Ensure adherence to data management standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Environmental Science, or related field.

  • Proficiency in GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).

  • Strong knowledge of spatial data analysis and cartography.

  • Familiarity with database management and data manipulation techniques.

  • Experience with remote sensing, geospatial programming, or spatial statistics is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for GIS automation.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based GIS platforms and tools.

  • Knowledge of environmental or urban planning applications is a plus.
