Siemens Energy Field Service Leadman - Reciprocating in Houston, Texas

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Field Service Leadman at Siemens Energy, based in Houston, Texas, your day will involve extensive travel and hands-on work with reciprocating equipment. You will disassemble, clean, inspect, record as-found conditions, and reassemble this equipment. Working within a team, you will ensure projects are completed safely, with high quality, and in line with customer expectations. Safety and quality will be your top priorities as you follow Siemens Energy’s directives to uphold our commitment to excellence.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Disassemble, clean, and inspect reciprocating compressors, accurately collecting and recording technical inspection data for equipment repair proposals.

  • Maintain clear and concise daily work records and job logs.

  • Use basic problem-solving skills to gather facts, analyze causes, and select the best solutions.

  • Maintain equipment and ensure regular daily housekeeping for an organized and safe working environment.

  • Follow all safe work practices, Siemens Energy safety, and quality policies and procedures during normal daily operations.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of related mechanical experience or a combination of formal technical training and/or on-the-job training.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Capability to routinely lift at least 25 pounds for up to eight hours, and up to 50 pounds periodically, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manufacturing drawings, shop sketches, and equipment repair manuals and procedures.

  • Proficient use of common PMI's (micrometers, gauges, etc.).

  • Working knowledge of Siemens Energy and/or non-nameplate reciprocating equipment.

  • Good reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.

  • Valid state driver’s license.

  • Personal tooling and measuring instruments required for general machine shop use.

  • Basic computer and word processing skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
