About the Role:
The Federal Reserve Bank is looking for a highly motivated and versatile Facilities Technician I to provide basic support for facility operations and equipment. As the Facilities Technician I, you will be responsible for responding to and completing routine service requests and repairs in a timely manner for the Houston Branch. You will participate in project implementations and tasks. You will be based in the Houston, TX office.
You Will:
Participate in routine tasks and preventative maintenance for equipment or operations included under unit responsibilities based on established procedures
Seek feedback on task completion to measure level of success
Perform tasks for project related unit activities as assigned
Respond to after-hours building emergency situations during assigned on-call rotation, summoning additional assistance as needed
Participate in technical training for unit support and Bank training for policies and procedures
Account for time spent and work performed on assigned tasks through electronic work order system
You Have:
High School Diploma or GED required
Apprentice level is preferred
1+ years in construction trades, or building maintenance preferred but not required
Basic operating knowledge of computer based operating systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows Suite
Basic safety procedures and PPE usage
Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small opening and climbing hand over hand, lifting 50 lbs., and working on ladders/lifts
Ability to work in a team environment
Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements
