Description

We are in search of an Entry Level Accountant based in Houston, Texas. The individual will be expected to handle various accounting tasks, such as managing and maintaining the company's general ledger, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the company’s general ledger

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions

• Prepare financial statements and support month-end and year-end close processes

• Record and reconcile all financial transactions to the general ledger

• Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

• Generate periodic financial reports for management and external stakeholders

• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and issues

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies

• Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems

• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Accounting

• Proficiency in Account Coding and Accounting Entries

• Experience in handling Accounting Functions such as Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems and Adobe Acrobat

• Knowledge of Dynamics NAV and other ERP Solutions is preferred

• Ability to perform Account Analysis and manage Accounting Entries

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability

• Capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• High level of integrity and confidentiality with handling sensitive information.
