Robert Half Director/Manager Financial Reporting in Houston, Texas

Description We are seeking a Director/Manager Financial Reporting for a real estate company located in Houston, Texas. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the financial reporting function within the property and facilities management industry. The successful applicant will be responsible for SEC reporting, consolidations, and management financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the creation and distribution of periodic financial statements, including but not limited to monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

• Facilitate the consolidation of financial statements from various departments, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in SEC reporting processes.

• Develop and implement procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting.

• Ensure strict adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), SEC rules and regulations, as well as internal policies.

• Collaborate with internal auditors to handle any financial irregularities that may arise from internal or external audits.

• Lead the financial planning and budgeting processes, providing reports to senior management as required.

• Collaborate with team leaders to manage fiscal activities and help the company meet its financial goals.

• Utilize skills in Budget Processes, SEC Reporting, Management Reporting, Consolidated Balance Sheet, Consolidated Financial Statements, Corporate Consolidation, Financial Statements Consolidation, Financial Consolidation, US GAAP, Commercial Real Estate. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry

• Proven expertise in Budget Processes

• Demonstrable experience in SEC Reporting

• Proficiency in Management Reporting

• Strong understanding and use of Consolidated Balance Sheet

• Proven ability to prepare and analyze Consolidated Financial Statements

• Prior experience in Corporate Consolidation

• Proficiency in Financial Statements Consolidation and Financial Consolidation

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP

• Experience in Commercial Real Estate is a must

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree preferred

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is advantageous

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in MS Office Suite and financial management software.
