KBR is looking for a Commissioning – Start-Up & Operations Supervisor - Electrical. (High Voltage) - who will be responsible for the overall Commissioning, Startup. Operations and Maintenance (O&M) planning, execution, training development and delivery for Green Hydrogen, LNG, Green Ammonia, EPCM projects.

The Commissioning – Start-Up & Operations Supervisor - Electrical. (High Voltage) will lead the team of PC-CSO team & maintenance personnel providing electrical high voltage infrastructure facility commissioning, operational training during the commissioning, start-up, and ongoing operations for new Green Hydrogen capital project. This position will report to the project Pre-Commissioning, Startup and Operation (PC-CSO) Manager, with matrix responsibilities to the Project Manager.

This role is for a FUTURE OPPORTUNITY supporting a Green Hydrogen Production Facility in Oklahoma

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate operational planning activities with the EPC project team, and Owner’s representatives

  • Responsible for operational deliverables and project schedules, costs estimations, and preparation of new plant operations and maintenance planning and execution

  • Define training and competency requirements for Operations and Maintenance of a Green Hydrogen, LNG facility in compliance with contract requirements

  • Direct and supervise development and delivery of all operational manuals and operational training materials and aids (including Operator Training Simulators) needed for O&M training

  • Review and analyze technical documentation related to plant startup commissioning and operations (P&ID Drawings, Electrical Drawings, Safety reviews etc.)

  • Responsible for the safe and effective execution of operations and maintenance activities in the plant and effective utilization of materials and equipment

  • Specify capital equipment, consumable materials, tools, and spare parts required for safe and reliable plant operations and maintenance

  • Work as an integral part of the Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, start-up, and operations team

  • Ensure that all operational personnel and employees have required credentials for project work (e.g., TWIC card, Basic Plus training)

  • Overall responsibility to provide project specific operational planning, preparation, and training for the Owner’s O&M personnel, and CSO commissioning personnel, per contractual requirements

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory training requirements, including OSHA 1910.119 (PSM), EPC, DOT, and Homeland Security regulations.

  • Develop, administer, and maintain operational and training budgets, including necessary changes and update

  • Lead and direct the work of others; a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

  • Implement and monitor classroom and On-the-Job (OJT) technical training programs for EPC projects

  • Work directly with client operations personnel to implement formal OJT leading to competency assessment

Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field with experience in construction and commissioning of high and medium voltage industrial infrastructure

  • 10 + years of experience commissioning, startup, operations experience in High Voltage Power Plants, Green Hydrogen Generation Facility, Industrial Gas Processing Facilities (Natural Gas, LNG, Hydrogen)

  • Proven ability as a leader working on large capital projects with practical operations experience and knowledge.
