We are seeking a professional like you who is enthusiastic about entrepreneurship to assist in expanding our business in the fast-paced and ever-changing world of natural gas. As the Natural Gas Commercial Manager based in our Houston, TX office, you will collaborate with internal business units, multiple sites, and third-party suppliers across the US to develop innovative supply solutions and negotiate proposals to procure natural gas supply for all non-traded North American BASF sites. You will develop strong connections with some of BASF's largest operations and other major third-party commodity / industrial players as you work closely with our US Natural Gas trading desk (while they actively trade natural gas in the US Gulf Coast). You will be indispensable in completing mid and back-office functions for the trading desk, serve as one of the key internal operational contacts for natural gas in the region, provide essential detailed analysis of domestic / global commodity markets to internal business partners, and assist in natural gas pipeline scheduling.

This is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your passion for collaboration and attention to detail with critical workstreams. • Manaing and providing timely information regarding natural gas supply to respective site management, becoming a key natural gas operational contact to all sites in the US. You will also manage mid and back-office tasks for natural gas for the traded sites (including daily traded deal confirmations and invoicing functions).

  • Assisting with and/or negotiate directly with pipelines and marketers/suppliers for natural gas supplies and pipelines access. Additionally, you will provide entry-level insights into natural gas movements and trading by supporting the natural gas scheduler on an operational basis for the traded sites.

  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements (e.g. FERC Reporting) by preparing, maintaining, and submitting comprehensive reports detailing monthly and annual natural gas usage/pricing.

If you...
