Our client is seeking to hire a dedicated and detail-oriented B2B Commercial Collections Specialist with experience in Cash Applications for their finance department. The ideal B2B Commercial Collections Specialist with Cash Applications experience will have exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication, and negotiation skills, along with a proven track record in B2B commercial collections and cash applications. This B2B Commercial Collections Specialist with experience in Cash Applications role primarily entails making phone calls and sending follow-up emails to clients regarding payment statuses, with meticulous documentation of all attempts and conversations. The position also entails reporting through Excel in a high-volume work environment. This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities for the B2B Commercial Collections Specialist with experience in Cash Applications role:

1. Consistently reach out to clients via phone calls and emails to inquire about payment status, discussing outstanding debts and negotiating the completion of these payments.

2. Efficiently apply cash payments received from clients to their respective accounts on an as needed basis.

3. Document all collection attempts and conversations accurately and in a timely manner.

4. Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's invoicing and collection policies to ensure consistent application.

5. Generate and maintain reports on collection activity and client account status using Excel.

6. Work efficiently in a high-volume environment, maintaining a high level of accuracy and meeting deadlines in a timely manner.

7. Foster positive client relations while effectively managing sensitive issues.

8. Communicate regularly with management regarding collections issues and client feedback.

9. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications for the B2B Commercial Collections Specialist with experience in Cash Applications role:

1. Previous experience in commercial collections and cash applications.

2. Proficient in using Excel for reporting purposes.

3. Strong communication and negotiation skills.

4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

5. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

6. Firm understanding of billing and collections processes and regulations.

7. Comfortable with a hybrid work environment (3 days in-office and 2 from home)

   Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a B2B Collections Specialist role or a similar position within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Familiarity with billing functions and collection processes

• Exceptional customer service skills, with experience in B2B collections

• Knowledge of commercial collections is essential

• Experience in cash applications is a plus

• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands

• Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in stressful situations

• Proven track record in meeting and exceeding collection targets.
