Position : CMT Laboratory Technician 3-4

Location : Houston, TX

We are seeking a CMT Laboratory Technician 4 to join our Houston, TX team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assists in moving large bulk samples.

• In various project management software enters, retrieves, performs QC on laboratory and field data

• Maintains office files/records/logs and suspense systems

• Operates a variety of laboratory machines required for the above-mentioned Technical Requirements.

• Ability to manage up to 6 staff performing field and laboratory functions.

• Past experience and ability to calibrate in-house equipment for both Tex and ASTM standards.

• Working knowledge and experience with Tex and ASTM field and laboratory testing methods for soil, aggregate, concrete, subgrades, and embankments.

• Ability to manage sample results from multiple clients and meeting contractual reporting timelines.

• Ability to manage and train staff as needed to fulfill contractual laboratory testing.

• Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Graduate

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a CMT lab technician

• Communicate effectively

• Follow verbal and written instructions

• Maintaining effective working relationships with others

• Preparing and maintaining confidential and sensitive records, files and reports

• Perform quality assurance tests

• Move up to 50lbs daily

• The use of company computers and applicable programs, applications and systems

Technical Requirements:

• Concrete Strength Testing Technician

• Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade I

• Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 1

• Aggregate Testing Technician - Level 2

• TXAPA Level 1A, Level 1B

• TXAPA SB 101, SB102, SB 103

• TXAPA SB 201

• TXAPA AGG 101

Other Miscellaneous Qualities:

• Ability to travel 10% of the time

• Ability to obtain missing certification within 6 months of hire

• Ability to use and navigate SiteManager is a plus.
