Robert Half Billing Coordinator in Houston, Texas

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Billing Coordinator in Houston, Texas. This position is within the legal industry and will involve managing the legal billing process. The successful candidate will work closely with our legal team to ensure timely and accurate billing to clients.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and processing of client invoices, ensuring they are based on hours worked and services provided by our legal team.

• Maintain and update billing files, ensuring all billing information is properly organized and easily accessible.

• Communicate with clients to resolve any billing issues and follow up on unpaid invoices.

• Prepare reports detailing billing activity.

• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure all billable hours are accurately recorded and processed.

• Regularly review and edit pre-bills in response to attorney and secretary requests.

• Ensure all billing procedures comply with ethical and legal standards.

• Assist in the distribution of invoices to clients, ensuring all invoices are sent promptly.

• Perform account reconciliations, including tracking and resolving any discrepancies.

• Respond to billing queries in a timely and detail oriented manner. Requirements • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the legal industry

• Proficiency in Legal Billing is mandatory

• Experience with Prolaw - Time & Billing software is required

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Table functionality

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred.
