The Bid Administrator will become familiar with total opening requirements set forth in contract documents, i.e. plans, specifications, addenda, and other related information concerning an individual construction project. This role will input all bids and proposals into company system, "Cookbook."
Essential Functions Receives all bid requests and creates folders and subfolders in the system Downloads all plans, specs and addendums Contacts architects for complete plan holders list of GC's only Enters all projects into bid leads in Cookbooks and updates them as needed Will learn to import door schedules and hardware specs Will learn data entry of locations and handings to assist detailing Will review and compare plans and specifications for accuracy of data entry Contacts vendors for technical assistance and quotations Assists in preparing and printing submittal documents for Architect and Contractor review Assists with uploading information for Linksquared Gain knowledge of door, frame and hardware applications as they relate to UL, fire code, building code, ADA, life safety and other restrictions that relate to the general commercial construction industry Assist Estimating Manager with coordinating between branches All other relative duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience 1 years of related experience in similar construction or building material industry
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Detail oriented; Deadline conscience; Goal driven Accurate mathematical skills required Special skills required blue print/plan reading helpful Microsoft Office proficiency Must have excellent oral communication skills and positive interpersonal skills

Work Environment This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally require business travel.
