Description

Are you a skilled Azure Administrator looking for your next opportunity? Robert Half is partnering with a forward-thinking organization seeking a contract Azure Administrator to support and enhance their cloud initiatives. In this crucial role, you will leverage your expertise in Microsoft Azure to manage, maintain, and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless business operations and security.

This is a contract-based opportunity, allowing you to collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals while contributing to exciting cloud infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Azure Infrastructure Management: Monitor and maintain Azure services, including virtual machines, databases, storage accounts, networking, and more.

  • Cloud Optimization: Analyze workloads to ensure optimal cost management, performance tuning, and resource allocation.

  • Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain Azure security best practices, including identity and access management, monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.

  • Automation and Scripting: Use PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other tools to automate routine tasks and deployments.

  • Support and Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level assistance to resolve technical challenges, identify root causes, and implement solutions in a timely manner.

  • Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Azure configurations, workflows, and change management.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Azure Administrator or similar role, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud services.

  • Certification(s): Microsoft-certified credentials (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or higher) strongly preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), including virtual machines, load balancers, and storage solutions.

  • Proficiency with automation tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including virtual networks, subnets, VPN gateways, and firewalls.

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Log Analytics).

  • Expertise in security and compliance frameworks, including implementation of governance policies.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently within a dynamic contract setting to meet project deadlines.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises and Azure systems.

  • Exposure to containerization platforms like Kubernetes (AKS) or Docker.

  • Knowledge of DevOps practices or CI/CD pipelines within Azure (e.g., Azure DevOps).

  • Experience integrating AI or automation technologies within Azure.
