JOB SUMMARY

The Associate Buyer is responsible for the purchasing of raw materials, part, supplies, equipment, and office supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtains the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible purchase cost.

  • Develops and ensures all elements of the purchase commitment are completed with proper required approvals.

  • Reviews requisition for accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepares and processes assigned purchase orders.

  • Monitors, reorders, and purchases items needed for inventory replenishment.

  • Creates and reconciles reports to ensure accuracy of payables.

  • Coordinates with vendors in accuracy on availability, price, and delivery of items.

  • Tracking delivery schedules and mitigating delays.

  • Communicating with vendors and other stakeholders regarding delays.

  • Expedites the delivery of purchases as necessary to achieve production and customer demands.

  • Purchasing materials for projects, facility, office, and product materials.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • No degree required.

  • Associates OR equivalent to 1-2 years Buyer/Purchasing experience, required.

  • ERP software (such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, etc.), required.

  • Manufacturing experience, required.
