UTHealth Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Glaucoma Specialist) - Ophthalmology and Visual Science, McGovern Medical School - 2 in Houston, Texas
Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science , McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking to add board-certified or eligible fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist. Consideration will be given to applicants with an interest in clinical or basic research and comes with the opportunity to participate in our educational program including medical students, residents, and fellows.

Position Key Accountabilities:
This is an academic appointment with research and teaching opportunities and expectations. We are looking for a clinician interested in building a busy practice at our primary location, the Robert Cizik Eye Clinic , located within the Texas Medical Center . Other responsibilities may include resident and/or fellow supervision at our county hospital, Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital, which is central to and the primary location of our education programs.
This is an academic track with the potential for tenure. Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be determined in accordance with experience.
Qualifications:
- Completed fellowship training or equivalent in glaucoma.
- Board certified/eligible in ophthalmology.
- Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain a medical license in the state of Texas.
