Stage 3 Separation Assembly/Panel Wireman in Houston, Texas

Stage 3 Separation is a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to providing efficient and environmentally friendly solids control solutions. We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assembly/Panel Wireman to join our team and ensure our office operations run smoothly.

The Assembly/Panel Wireman is an entry-level technician position who will assist in the assembly, repair, maintenance, and rebuild of electrical panels & components.

Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Wire basic electrical panels in a complete assembly build with supervision.

  • Mount components and panel wiring, including labeling per schematic with supervision.

  • Drilling, tapping, and cutting holes in metal enclosures.

  • Operates various hand and power tools including drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, soldering guns, crimpers etc.

  • Independently point to point test circuits according to schematics with supervision.

  • Perform QA/QC checks prior to “Green-Tag” and properly record test results.

  • Assist in facility projects including:

  • Moving items

  • Packing boxes

  • Cleaning

  • Trash removal

  • Assist other shop team members with:

  • Equipment installation

  • Service

  • Cleaning

  • Installation, and verification, of required S3S decals prior to equipment shipping.

  • Responsible for requesting tools, supplies, and fixtures needed for their work duties.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Other duties as assigned by the EM, PD, or VT.

  • May be required to work in other locations from time to time.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of AC and DC voltages.

  • Basic use of Digital Multi-Meter (DMM).

  • Basic understanding of electrical controls.

  • Ability to utilize measuring devices: tape measure, caliper, thread gauge, etc.

  • Must be mechanically inclined / adept, and familiar with hand tools.

  • Ability to identify the thread size and specification of an unknown fastener.

  • Understanding of proper fastener installation, and torquing.

  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.

  • Able to communicate effectively with others.

  • Must be able to read and write in English fluently (Spanish is a plus).

  • Must have manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
