We are looking for an experienced and innovative leader to fill the position of AI Language Model Engineer Manager within our AI Center of Excellence group based in Houston, TX.    The leader will manage of team of AI Language Model Engineers. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

Design the right machine learning model architecture and model type 

• Lead and coach a team of AI Language Model Engineers with a highly engaging leadership style that positively influences their performance, productivity, and development.
• Lead the design of workflows for language model deployment.
• Choose the right language model for a particular application.
• Perform prompt engineering, pre-processing, and post-processing to optimize the output for suitability.
• Work with domain experts to assess model quality.
• Perform fine-tuning when necessary.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering or related field required
• Master’s degree is highly preferred
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in language models and prompt engineering.
• Strong Python or R programming skills required
• Knowledge of Linux environment required
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI).

Additional Desired Qualifications:

• Certified in Amazon Web services (AWS) cloud provider is highly preferred.
• Ideally possesses AWS GenAI badges
