Advanced Field Service Engineer

Advanced Field Service Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. in Houston, TX

Responsibilities:

•Serve as Area Migrations Lead or Branch/Regional Team Lead/Mentor (not just a site lead or technical lead).

•Providing proactive maintenance support.

•Drive asset optimization for individual customer.

•DCS Maintenance including Hardware Components, Software Components, Field Troubleshooting of common IO and Loop Problems.

•Working with voltages up to 110VAC and 40VDC. Configure, maintain, and solve Honeywell hardware and software issues including: Experion PKS, other DCS hardware / software such as LCN, TPS.

•Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the processes related to field services and product development.

•Lead cross-functional groups to quickly fix any administrative difficulties relating to delivery and installation of proper equipment.

•Responsible for troubleshooting Network Connections of Ethernet and Coaxial Cabling.

•Modifying and editing HMI Graphics.

•Serve as the Focal Point for Honeywell with the customer on providing technical solutions.

Location: Houston, TX

40 hours/week

YOU MUST HAVE:

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of related engineering experience. Must possess five (5) years of experience in the following: developing scope of work documents for multiple projects involving the development, installation, integration, site commissioning and maintenance of Honeywell’s Distributed control systems; EPKS (Experion Process Knowledge System); Legacy Total Plant Solution (TPS); and Honeywell Safety Systems; Troubleshooting Network Connections of Ethernet and Coaxial Cabling. Telecommuting permitted when not at client site. Up to 90% domestic travel required.
