Summary This position serves as the deputy Administrative Officer to the Administrative Officer within the Administrative Division. Responsibilities If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for deputy Administrative Officer within the Administrative Division at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of Texas in Houston, Texas. The incumbent will report to the Administrative Officer. Typical work assignments will include: Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets goals and priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work; Analyzes management issues for the district; Assists in analyzing organizational and work design proposals recommended by subordinate supervisors; Responsible for budget formulation, presentation to EOUSA, and execution throughout the fiscal year; Assists in developing district-level personnel programs and directly manages a comprehensive personnel program within the context of authority delegated by EOUSA. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify at the GS-14 level, you must have at least one year of full specialized experience or equivalent to the GS-13 level in federal service or private sector. Specialized Experience is defined as demonstrating administrative management principles and concepts for program oversight and supervision; supervising subordinate staff; providing program oversight for a wide range of administrative and operational support services for an organization, which included responsibility for directing a budget, management, staffing, supply, and property; and providing recommendations to senior officials which have a direct and substantial effect on the organization and programs managed. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
