Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Houston, Texas
Description We are recruiting an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. The individual will be responsible for handling customer applications, maintaining precise customer records, and addressing customer inquiries. In addition, the Specialist will monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications.
• Keep up-to-date and precise records of customer credit.
• Regularly generate Accounts Receivable reports to keep a check on customer accounts.
• Engage with customers to update payment details and resolve any payment issues.
• Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records.
• Process incoming payments, which includes transactions made through checks and credit cards.
• Uphold positive relationships with customers by resolving inquiries and issues related to billing and payments.
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Manage customer contacts and customer document profiles in the ERP system.
• Ensure that new customer documents are uploaded in the customer form in the ERP system.
• Review customer documentation to determine credit limits and terms.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in the accounts receivable function.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in invoicing and collections. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role or a similar capacity
• Proficiency in account reconciliation is crucial
• Demonstrable experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Must have experience in billing and invoicing
• Familiarity with cash applications is necessary
• Previous experience in cash collections is essential
• Expertise in commercial collections is desirable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Experience with Oracle is a plus
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is beneficial
• Familiarity with SAP software is desirable
