Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the West Houston, Texas area. This role focuses on meticulous financial record-keeping, customer interaction, and resolution of customer inquiries. It offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the team by ensuring smooth financial operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently process customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Maintain detailed records of all customer credit transactions

• Closely monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary

• Manage a high volume of customer accounts, ensuring all account information is up-to-date

• Apply cash applications to customer accounts accurately

• Handle commercial collections, ensuring all debts are paid in a timely manner

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Engage in regular account reconciliation to maintain financial accuracy

• Manage portal billing, ensuring all billing information is accurate and up-to-date

• Adopt a proactive approach to learning and investing in the role, including asking for clarification when necessary.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role

• Proven experience with Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Billing and Cash Applications

• Demonstrated skills in Cash Collections and Commercial Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

• Knowledge of accounting practices and principles

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
