Description

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a local West company in Houston, Texas. This role involves processing and reconciling a wide range of financial transactions and requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent attention to detail. The employment opportunity offers a contract to hire arrangement.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel and Sage Intacct for various accounting tasks.

• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

• Handle cash applications and cash collections as needed.

• Collaborate with other team members to support overall department goals and objectives.

• Ensure compliance with established internal controls and company policies and procedures.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable Clerk role or similar

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Cash Applications and Cash Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

• Experience with Sage Intacct accounting software is required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Good organizational skills and ability to multitask

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and initiative

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
