Robert Half Accounts Receivable Analyst in Houston, Texas

Description

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. This role will be crucial in managing the company's revenue inflow, including cash applications, collections, and maintaining accounts receivable records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily application of cash receipts to customer accounts and ensure accurate account reconciliation.

  • Review customer accounts to analyze billing, cash application, and collections trends.

  • Proactively manage the collections process, including customer contact and follow-ups on overdue payments.

  • Address discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all transactions, returns, adjustments, and cash applications.

  • Assist in the month-end closing process, preparing insightful reports on the status of receivables.

  • Collaborate with the wider team in cash forecasting and budgeting procedures.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounts receivable role, with specific experience in cash applications and collections.

  • Solid understanding of accounts receivable functions and accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel, and experience with accounting software.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to problem-solve.

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
