Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist based in Houston, Texas, 77056-6110, United States. This role is a part of the manufacturing industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The ideal candidate is expected to have a strong understanding of accounts payable procedures and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage multiple tasks with precision and efficiency in a dynamic environment.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Resolve customer inquiries with professionalism and timeliness.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account activity.

• Exhibit exceptional attention to detail in all tasks.

• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline the accounting functions.

• Maintain vendor management systems and relationships.

• Use SAP for various accounting functions.

• Code account information accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Proven experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a similar role

• Proficiency in account coding and understanding of accounting functions

• Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) practices

• Experience with automated clearing house (ACH) transactions

• Proficiency in accounting software systems, particularly SAP

• Strong vendor management skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred

• Professional certification in accounting or related field is a plus
