ManpowerGroup Accountant - Onsite in Houston, Texas

Position Overview:

The hydrocarbon Settlements Accountant is responsible for accurately reconciling and settling financial transactions related to the production, sale, and transportation of hydrocarbon products, such as oil and gas. This person will ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal financial procedures to minimize discrepancies and optimize revenue for the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile hydrocarbon production and sales data to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.

  • Review and analyze contracts, agreements, and pricing structures to ensure compliance and accuracy in settlements.

  • Monitor and report on hydrocarbon transportation and storage activities, including pipeline movements and inventory reconciliation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations, legal, and finance, to resolve discrepancies and disputes related to settlements.

  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial records, reports, and documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.

  • Stay current with industry regulations, market trends, and pricing benchmarks to provide informed insights for optimizing hydrocarbon settlements and revenue generation.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification is preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in accounting and management reporting.

  • Have a working knowledge of SAP. Working knowledge of Right Angle is a plus but not required.

  • Skilled at using Excel, Power Point, and Word.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
