Our client, a leading player in the food warehouse industry, is seeking an Accountant III to join their team. As an Accountant III, you will be part of a dynamic accounting department. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Accountant III
Location: Houston, TX
Pay Range: $30/hour
What's the Job?
Review and approve monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and lower risk.
Act as the escalation point of contact for balance sheet accounts assigned to different entities.
Oversee the month-end task list, ensuring timely completion of all period close activities.
Develop and perform analytics on key accounts to drive resolution and create efficiencies.
Mentor new Accounting Analysts and assist in revising Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
What's Needed?
5 years of accounting or related experience required.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and specialized accounting/finance software (ERP Systems).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to find and resolve discrepancies.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
