Job Description

To assist the Spa Director in the daily operations of the spa which include but are not limited to assisting guests, maintaining spa amenities and maintaining the cleanliness of the spa facility. In addition to these duties the spa supervisor should have the ability to assist associates with scheduling, training, standards of appearance, performance reviews and proper time keeping for accurate payroll. The spa supervisor should be well versed with the Omni Culture and demonstrate the ability to conduct OST meetings and Moments of Service.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Present a well-groomed, professional appearance at all times while on property

  • Monthly inventory purchases through Birchstreet.

  • Creating Schedules through OnTrack, check Kronos daily for missed punches

  • If needed, administering problem solution notice as well as be in the process of evaluation.

  • You will be responsible for 30, 60 and 90 checklist and evaluations of new hires.

  • Acknowledge and greet everyone who enters and leaves The Spa. Greet guests by their proper name. Thank each guest and inquire about their stay.

  • Supervise the performance, attendance, appearance standards and conduct of the staff.

  • Ensure that The Spa front desk procedures are maintained and adhered to.

  • Maintain an efficient system of communication between The Spa and other departments.

  • Oversee all operations of The Spa during assigned shifts.

  • Hold staff accountable for end of shift checklists and assignments

  • Conduct walk-throughs on a daily basis and report areas of concern in synergy or the appropriate channel

  • Maintain an efficient system of communication with Spa Director regarding operations, guest and associate events or needs through an MOD report or other form of communication

  • Ensure that Omni Standard Operating Procedures are maintained and adhered to in all assigned areas.

  • Achieve a comprehensive knowledge of all functions of Resort Suite, Synergy and Outlook.

  • Represent the Spa as needed at meetings, including stand-ups, departmental meetings and monthly OST.

  • Review and resolve all guest opportunities or guest recovery opportunities in a timely basis.

  • Guide staff to become caring problem solvers, cooperative, accommodating and fair.

  • Demonstrate an exceptional level of professionalism for the staff to emulate.

  • Have a complete knowledge of all Spa services, packages, and promotions presently offered by The Spa with ability to communicate and promote to guests.

  • Ensure that all Spa associates deliver exceptional, unparalleled guest experience and customer service.

  • Always Maintain a pristine environment and in your work area in a professional manner in accordance with Omni Standards

  • Remain visible in front of the house guest space, supporting Associate’s and Guest’s needs.

  • Provide on-the-job training to any new and current associates as needed, or as directed by Spa Director

  • Adhere to all Omni and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Perform MOS training with associates, as required

  • Control associate schedules through Resort Suite to optimize the guest’s time and Spa experience and maximize profitability.

  • Assure that all treatments have the proper coverage and resource availability.

  • Complete the opening and closing of the facility.

  • Correct and/or contact the proper department to address any immediate problem related to the mechanical, physical function or safety hazard within The Spa in a timely manner.

  • Participate in spa activities including meetings, quality assurance programs, educational events, workshops, inventory or promotions as requested

    HOTEL SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  • Commitment to and demonstration of The Omni Mission Statement and 6 Pillars.

  • Complete in-house orientation program, which covers all policies and procedures as per the manual and associate handbook.

  • Have a working knowledge of Omni Homestead general information and history.

  • Maintain Guest satisfaction through Medallia program in a timely and efficient manner.

    Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role

  • Previous 2 years’ experience working in a guest / customer orientated environment

  • Responsible, dependable team player

  • Must be self-motivated, and have strong organizational skills

  • Must be flexible and cooperative, with the ability and willingness to work a varied shift, including weekends and holidays

  • Able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day

  • Able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds

  • Previous experience working in a Spa Facility (preferred)
