Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non‐metallic or
composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical,
hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance
designs. Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. Specific structural
engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis. Tools
utilized may include CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and a variety of software applications
Must be knowledgeable in the composite reinforcement materials. Examples being material properties, material allowable, and common behaviors. Works on conceptual system supporting analysis efforts, prototype and qualification, design acceptance, product testing. Performs Stress & Load Simulation on New Parts or Part Changes including stress reports
Qualifications:
· Develop basic data an make preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposal
· Investigate and resolve structural problems by identifying defects on the parts and writing structural repairs (ERs-Engineering Repair Procedures) that will be approved by a DER engineer.
· Interface with supervision on the production floor to interpret Douglas, Airbus and Boeing drawing and engineering specifications.
· Ensure that all planning issued towards the repair, overhaul and modification of components and parts are per customer specifications, manufacturer data, approved data, or data acceptable to the FAA administrator
Two years minimal experience.

Delegation as a DER is helpful - if not desire to get delegation as a DER
